What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
When I had my own tutoring sessions, I really appreciated how easy it was to ask questions when there as a concept I didn't understand, and especially the flexibility. We would go at a pace that was suitable for me, which allowed me to take in and apply the content much more smoothly. When I had tutored others, I enjoy building a strong relationship with my student and seeing them grow gradually in ther skills and their general knowledge.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Patience and communication are two key strengths of mine. If a student does not understand, I will ensure that by going through a concept/question again or slower, or thinking of different ways to approach it, the student will slowly come to understand. My ability to empathise because I have been in their position before means that I am aware of the many learning styles and will hence, adapt my teaching to the needs of the student.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is to encourage them to enjoy what they are learning. Through displaying my own willingness to learn, and being patient, I hope to instill a sense of enthusiasm for the long process of learning. I also hope that as a result of this enthusiasm, their skills and their desire for self-growth in that subject will grow.
