What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I have a great passion for teaching and spreading my knowledge to help students around me achieve their academic goals. I have been able to help my students improve their grades from a D/C to a B/A by establishing trust and rapport with them. In my sessions, I teach my students not only what to learn but also how to learn. I have become friends with many of my students. I'm beyond happy when I see the good progress my students make after studying with me. I love to give my students inspiration and motivation to learn and develop themselves.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I am a good listener and am great at understanding other people's needs or struggles. I use my active listening skills when I communicate with students to make sure I understand them correctly and make studying effective. I also take pride in my skills in making complex things simple. I very often explain concepts or give examples to my students using things they already see or know about in their lives. Furthermore, I show great patience and flexibility with my students. I'm always happy to find different ways to explain a problem to my students until they fully understand it.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
In my opinion, a tutor plays a very critical role in a student's academic life because a tutor usually works very closely with only a few students at a time and can understand well the students' struggles. I believe a tutor's main responsibility is to teach students not just what to learn but also how to learn. A tutor is there to establish trust with students and create the best study plans for them based on each student's learning ability and preferences. A good tutor should go above and beyond for their students, take initiative, and be a live academic guide and support to students.
