What do I enjoy most about tutoring? đ
What draws me most to tutoring is seeing the progression students make over time. Starting from uncertainty, lacking confidence or motivation, to genuine understanding and independence. Supporting students as they move from struggling to confidence is an incredible experience for me. I find it meaningful to witness the shift in confidence when students begin to believe in their own abilities. Iâd love to be a part of the reason for that growth, even in baby steps...is something I find motivating and genuinely fulfilling.
My Strengths as Tutor đŞ
I am particularly interested in tutoring as it allows me to reinforce my own understanding of complicated topics/concepts, while learning how to communicate them effectively to others.
Currently, in my role as a Crew Coach at Hungry Jackâs, I have gained valuable experience being able to train new team members. Throughout my 3 year employment as a training coach has taught me how to explain procedures clearly, while also adapting my communication to different individuals, providing constructive feedback, and also supporting others in confidence and independence.
Most important things I can do for a student đ
Tutoring is not always about assisting student academic needs, but also to establish confidence in future studies, from junior year maths, to VCE. Or even VCE to University. Being a tutor means guiding students to trust their own abilities, develop their own effective study method, and to approach challenges with resilience rather than fear. Tutors and teachers play a significant role in shaping a students mindset academically, and long term success, as I've experienced myself with my own Highschool teachers and Tutors.
