What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I get a big kick out of seeing the physical manifestation of full understanding a student has. It might be the way their eyes light up after making the connection, or their excitement to continue on with their new knowledge; as if I can hear that click in their brain, it\'s very satisfying and I feel like the kid and I can bond more through it.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
What I\'ve heard parents commend about my manner the most is regarding my patience. I understand that the approach and time each child requires is different, and I\'m willing to put in the effort to discover that about them! Having been blessed with such wonderful teachers in the past, I always want to imitate their good example of perseverance despite challenges.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Foremost, a tutor should help their student to identify and reach their goals. Knowing what is important to the student and incorporating that into the metrics for success will help them feel like they are making progress. And secondly, tutors should help the student to form good habits; as motivation can only take one so far, incorporating a good routine ensures the progress students make is not lost to time, but becomes a part of their lifestyle.
