What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love having the ability to make a positive impact on a student's academic journey and watch them progress from disliking a subject and not being good at it, to thoroughly enjoying and mastering it.
Furthermore, I have a deep-seated passion for sharing my knowledge, evidenced by the countless hours I spent in my high school life helping and assisting my peers in concepts they struggled with. I believe that knowledge is meant to be shared, and witnessing my friends grasp new or challenging concepts brought me immense satisfaction, and I would like to continue doing this for other students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very organised and finish anything I need to do as soon as possible, and this ensures that I have a good balance between my university, work, and family/ social life.
As I understand that every student learns at their own pace, I am very patient and am willing to explain a concept as many times as needed until the student fully understands it.
I am great at communicating challenging or difficult ideas to others of any age, and breaking them down into smaller, more understandable ideas and concepts.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is taking time out of their own oftentimes busy lives to make a positive impact on a student's academic journey, and show dedication and passion towards their role as a tutor and mentor for a student.
Furthermore, a tutor should be someone that the student can come to for any questions or advice, regardless of simplicity. All tutors should strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and display resilience and perseverance until they master a concept.
