What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Working one to one or in small groups where I can aim to specifically meet the needs of the students. Taking time to make sure that content is covered in depth to ensure solid foundations before moving on in content. Building connections with pupils and watching their confidence grow.

I have excellent subject knowledge and can break this down in a variety of ways to meet the needs of the pupils of all levels. I can think quickly and problem solve to help pupils understand the content in more than one way. I can adapt my teaching style for pupils and towards different exam boards. I always talk with students about goals and targets, so we can work together on these.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

It is so important to have the pupil's best interest at the heart of everything you do. As tutoring is usually on top of school hours, it is important that the student wants to come and feels the time is worthwhile. Therefore, it is important to create a safe and welcoming environment, while aiming to get the most of the student.
