Theo has done very well in using all the formulas we have. And he is making progress in operating Excel.
Theo is struggling to remember the formulas as well as using the data (time and distance), however, it is understandable since Theo has got other school work to work on. To help Theo understand the concepts, we could keep reminding him about the relationship between time, speed, and distance in daily life. For example, letting Theo know the time and the distance it takes to travel from home to school.

We have developed Newton's second law based on the previous lesson. Although the content is a bit challenging, Theo showcases his patient in exploring new knowledge and interest in the experiments. Compared to the first class, Theo is more willing to talk and share his thinking. After explaining all the formulas and theories, we did a few experiments to test the speeds and the accelerates of Theo, Mathilda, and Zede's walking. That links back to the learning contents in more practical and exciting ways.
Since the content is getting harder, there is a need for continuing practice even though having an awareness of speed and acceleration in daily life would be good.
