What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Seeing my tutees grow in their knowledge and passion for a subject. There's nothing more satisfying then seeing one have a "eureka" moment or having them come back for the following session with more interest and energy for the topic. Its a rewarding feeling seeing what lasting effect you can have on them and being able to compare where they started off from and how far they managed to achieve after.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have a fairly strong background of tutoring informally especially in Maths, Physics and IT. Throughout my years of high school I had tutored numerous grades including my own informally even being awarded for this in my 10th grade.
I am also particularly curious and often like to search of different ways of perceiving and understanding concepts. Through this I've found that many concepts or ideas that may have been difficult for my past students to understand, I was able to explain in simpler or more tailored ways to better help with learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do is provide a enriching and safe learning environment for their tutee. Encouraging students while also providing deep guidance to the student are what contribute to this. I tend to find the people learn best when they enjoy learning instead of through academic pressure. While pressure can form diamonds, it takes careful consideration and polishing for them to shine. That's what I hope to provide as a tutor.

Daniel showed particular strength in understanding primes, divisibility and number sets particularly integers. This resulted in Daniel showing great profiency in both the zoom questions in addition to the first four number problems.
Daniel shows difficulty with fractional work. This was strongly seen in question 5. Further practice focused on strengthening this aspects will be addressed in upcomming weeks

Daniel displayed strong understanding of angles, particularly with parallel line rules utilising new concepts introduced to him with the week. He is quick on the upkeep and is extremely willing to try challenging questions
Gaps in knowledge for previous weeks and additonal content seem to be present. While not major, certain solutions require methods from previous weeks. Expressing difficulty understanding certain aspects or his thought process behind his solution is minimal.

Daniel was quick on learning similar triangles and with little practice manage to get a firm understanding of them. In comparisson with the previous week, Daniel was far more expressive with what he had difficulty with which allowed us to focus on content he struggled with.
Daniel displays a slight tendency to skip writing steps when calculating, while this can speed up some aspecting, minor errors tend to occur which can disrupt the calculating process. More practice with week 3's content may be necessary as well, while he has understood the principles and showed great progress in utilising them, it still falls short when using them repeatidly or in combination with other techniques (this only being a result of having one day of practice)

Showed keen attempts at solving equations while as explaining his thought process. Showed strong prowess when challenged with similar triangles (something he previous struggled with)
Major gaps in knowledge from outside the olympiad (Exterior angle theorem) which made solving some equations difficullt. More practice with this could be used as well as possibly other possible gaps. Daniel also mentioned struggling with Decimals, Fractions and Ratios so future class will cover that information
