What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most enjoyable aspect of tutoring for myself is to be able to assist students to become more confident in themselves; and their skills. Often with tutoring, student's need guidance and assistance with their academic tasks. With time and effort, through tutoring and studying, students progress and begin to improve with their knowledge and skills. It is most enjoyable to see the progress students have made with their studies and their personal skills. Seeing improvement is both extremely satisfying for the student and the tutor.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
A great strength I possess as a tutor is experience. I graduated with a 99 ATAR, I had underwent multiple years (8 years) of tutoring through a rotation of four different topics. Therefore, I have immense experience with what makes a great tutor; as I have had the personal experience of being the student. With this experience, I have strengths with understanding structure; knowing how to tutor throughout a schedule in a way in which the student can be engaged and focused on one topic.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is developing a relationship of trust and confidence. Once a student can trust their tutor, they are comfortable discussing their weaknesses or areas of improvement. This allows for the tutor to be able to curate a schedule and structure suited to the student and their learning patterns. Another important factor tutors can do for students is building their confidence. Having a student believe in their own skills is the best thing a tutor can do. To have the student be confident that they can complete tasks on their own merits.
