What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
There are so many things that I enjoy when teaching but the main thing is probably the process of helping the student to understand. I feel like tutoring isn’t only about achieving the ultimate A+ or passing the subject, but more as a long journey, which requires continuous input from both tutor and student. It is really rewarding when we see the student finally feeling confident in their weakness. I also love interacting with children and students, I have tutored some friends before their tests and exams at school and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very patient and thorough with my explaining. I am able to find other ways to explain a concept if the student does not understand it at first. I am also experienced with technology so I can make powerpoints, worksheets to foster engagement and increase learning
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing is to be supportive no matter what. Curiosity is in everyone and us as tutors should help the students to embrace their curiosity and take it further. Our job as tutors revolve around giving that helping hand, a small push, which brings the students to their full potential. I am a strong advocate for going beyond - there are no such things as dumb questions or not being smart, it all means there are room for improvements. As a tutor, I endeavour to fill the gap and be the bridge that connects their current unsteadiness into feeling confident and proud.
