The most important things a tutor can do for the student is listening to their questions and ensuring every explanation is understood. This ensures that the child not only acquires new knowledge but can apply it to their homework and grow as a student in maths. Also, a tutor must actively grow their methods of teaching, not using one explanation using a whiteboard, or an acronym to help the student, but instead, constantly researching new ways to teach content.
