What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The success of the student as your own success lies in when your student achieves his or her best.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Being able to tailor an explanation of a difficult topic in a way that sits right in the students brain and to clearly communicate with the student on key points behind each concept they need to know.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things a tutor can do for a student is teach them how to problem solve on their own, which will help them in the real world when they go for jobs or other activities. Also to quickly understand the students learning style and tailor their lessons appropriately.

About Sulay

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Mechatronics)

Currently studying bachelor of engineering with a major in mechatronics at QUT, while also being a part of the Motorsport team there and the Robotics Club. I did engineering in highschool from grade 10 to grade 12.

Academic Excellence in Maths, Science, and English

This tutor achieved outstanding results across Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and English during high school, earning academic excellence awards and maintaining a GPA above 4.8. As a science ambassador for several years, Sulay regularly presented experiments and organised engaging activities for students from year 7 through to year 12. His deep subject knowledge is paired with real classroom involvement, allowing him to break down complex topics into accessible lessons tailored for each student’s needs.

Creative Problem-Solving with Real-World Applications

Sulay’s background as lead engineer in his school robotics group highlights his practical problem-solving skills and creativity. He managed teams in challenging competitions such as the First Tech Challenge at national level. By integrating elements from engineering projects—like building mechanical prototypes or organising science-themed treasure hunts—he brings a unique hands-on dimension to tutoring sessions. Parents can expect their children to not only master core subjects but also gain confidence through innovative learning experiences that connect theory with everyday life.
