After explaining these topics to Jenny, she understands how to do the questions. She's also making great use of diagrams to help her visualise the problem and to see which quadrant the angle lies in to get the correct answer.

Continued practise with this topic to make sure she's confident with solving these types of questions, as it will make solving trig equations much less confusing.

Marley can effectively apply area, surface area and volume formulas for standard shapes and some trickier composite shapes, and is getting much better at trigonometry compared to last time.

There was a question about calculating absolute error and percentage error which she had not learnt in class, so we'll cover that next lesson. Also a bit more practise with compass bearings, and calculating surface area/volume of a range of composite/trickier shapes to get prepared for her assessment.

Zander is very confident with area models and writing factor trees. He also knows strategies to list factors of numbers, including one I taught him that he found useful. Zander was also able to do one of the tricky word problems which required understanding of averages to find an unknown value.

A bit more practise with HCF and LCM to ensure he understands the difference and so he becomes more efficient and finding them.

Marley has a good understanding of how to calculate area, surface area and volume using the given formulas.
