What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy teaching the information I've learnt to other people, breaking down concepts so that they understand and succeed. I also enjoy tutoring because me, the tutor, and my student have mutual benefit. We both improve in the subject, benefiting the student at high school and benefiting me at uni.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I feel one of my strengths as a tutor is breaking down concepts to their fundamental level. What are the steps required to solve the question? What concepts are needed to solve the question?
Another is communication. You need to clearly explain in a way your student can understand.
Another is patience. Something that may seem extremely simple to me might make zero sense to my student. So, I must stay calm and patient no matter how long it takes for them to understand.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The reason why a student hires a student is because they struggle in the classroom environment, where they may not get that much help from the teacher.
Which is why it is important for the tutor to provide a more personal teaching method and generate a friendship between each other. Making sure you help with anything the student is struggling with.
