What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Helping the students understand something. I feel good when I take the time to explain a concept or question to a student and they actually understand it instead of saying they do. Some students do need to do multiple questions to get used to the topics so I am okay with explaining something multiple times.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Dumbing down the topics and reminding them of past topics. In the tutoring I've done in the past I have made sure to remind my students of past topics as they might not remember them. Especially in Maths where a lot of concepts intersect.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Make the topic enjoyable. The amount of times my mind has wandered off in lectures cause of how the lecturers just spew information and not engage with the students. This showed me that tutors need to explain things in a way that is engaging. Different students need different methods, some like visualising the question so I draw the question out to help them. Some students I teach the concepts in small parts and ask if they need me to go over that one part again.
