What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy the engaging environment. I have experience teaching English as a second language to a group of primary-school-aged students. Only after a few weeks, I started seeing clear results as their growth not only in the subject, but also their confidence and passion. Witnessing this first-hand as a teacher only gave me more motivation to continue doing what I do. I only stopped teaching due to the increased load of my studies in year 12.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My patience and engaging behaviour with students. I understand the amount of effort and time needed for this role, but due to my passion for teaching, I am willing to dedicate myself to this role.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think maintaining an open mind, patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude are among the most important things a tutor can do. Acknowledging and adapting to each student's learning pace is vital, as it varies individually.
About Negara
A bit about my own studies...
Currently, I'm a third-year psychology student at RMIT University! I graduated high school in 2022, overseas in Tehran, Iran. It was a very difficult thing for me to do as I had studied in English my whole life, but then had to complete year 12 in Farsi! In the end, though, this experience only made me stronger as it made me realise that if I can graduate year 12 with a GPA of 3.8, in a whole other language, every student has the potential to overcome anything.
