What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find it rewarding breaking down complex ideas into clear and manageable parts making the concept simpler and allowing students to have a 'wow I can do it moment' and give them some more confidence. I love learning and I love to show kids and teens that learning can be fun.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Having essenitally taught myself my final two years in school for half the maths course, I know how important clarity is. I would say I know how to break things down clearly in a way that young minds can understand.
I also would say I am adaptable to each student, adjusting my teaching style for different types of learners, such as visuals, examples or more hands on. Having had different learning styles as I grew older I know how important having a teaching approach that suits that specific style is.
I also believe I am very motivatin and a patient tutor, where I just encourage my students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
For me, I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is motivate and build confidence in the student. Confidence is key to performing well in exams, and of course actually teaching the content is necessary, but I find without the confidence students only do marginally better. With confidence they can do improve astronomically.
