What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity to support students in building both their understanding and confidence. It’s particularly rewarding to witness the moment when a concept becomes clear, and a student feels empowered in their learning. I also value the challenge of adapting my approach to suit different learning styles, as it allows me to continuously develop as an tutor and enjoy the process a lot more.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my key strengths as a tutor is my patience. As an IB graduate with a score of 38/45, I understand the academic demands of the program, particularly in subjects like English and Business Management HL, where I achieved high distinctions. I recognise that every student has unique strengths and areas for improvement, and I tailor my teaching approach to suit their individual needs. I aim to create a supportive, judgment-free space where students feel comfortable engaging with the material and asking questions.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think one of the most important things a tutor can do is be patient and really take the time to understand how each student learns. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, and it’s so important to adapt your teaching style to match that. I also think making the student feel comfortable is key — they should feel safe to ask questions without worrying about being judged. When that trust is there, learning becomes so much easier and more enjoyable for both of us.
