Honestly, I always say this — grab a pen and paper (or an Apple Pencil and iPad) and draw what you’re explaining because visualising a concept helps the student connect the dots much faster (otherwise they'll loose the train of thoughts". It’s by far the most effective way to teach, in my opinion. The second most important thing? Do your homework. I mean the tutor, not the student. Come prepared. There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a session and you don’t know what to teach next (especially if the student has already told you the topic beforehand)Tutoring students in 👦 👧
