What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy learning and helping others with math- especially when you see that moment where a concept finally 'clicks' for them. Having helped my younger cousins prepare for their IGCSE exams, I have found it extremely rewarding seeing them understand a topic in math in which they previously struggled with, and also seeing students realise that math is not as intimidating as it seems.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my biggest strength as a tutor is patience. As someone who learns at a slower pace myself, I understand that everyone grasps concepts differently. I will always ensure that the students will learn the information in a way that is best suited for them. As well as this, I consider myself to be an approachable person, which is just as important. When students are more comfortable with their tutor, they will tend to ask more questions about the material without hesitation.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing that a tutor does for a students is to create an environment that they enjoy learning in and feel confident in asking questions when they don't understand something. It's also crucial that tutors teach the material in such a way that the students understand the content, and not memorise it, so they are able to apply it in real world scenarios, which is a key factor in their long terms success.
