What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy that moment when something finally clicks for the student. A close second would have to be that tutoring others gives me more motivation to be a better student, cause the more I know the more I can teach. Also, I just really enjoy math as well as the three sciences and helping other makes me wanna try harder to learn more so I can be a better teacher. I have long been a big fan of psychology, including learning psychology, I actually start my bachelor of psychology at UQ next year. Tutoring is also a way to apply my knowledge of psychology when I can to better help others.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe I have a good ability to identify/diagnose gaps in knowledge of others. This belief has been supported by when I helped some other students in grade 12 study for externals, If they were struggling with a certain problem I'd get them to attempt it and speak their thought process out loud until they either got stuck or made a mistake then I'd target and tackle whatever gap in knowledge caused it.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Gives their students confidence, after all, it has been proven that "fake it till you make it" works to some degree. Helping with time management. This would involve giving pointers into what they should spend more time studying on their own, as well as identifying their weak points and using their time wisely to strengthen those topics. This also includes exam strategy for high year levels, where going from front to back of the paper isn't always the best option. Also, if you have the time, teaching them how to teach themselves/teaching transferable study skills.
