What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I myself had a tutor when I was younger, so I believe making the experience personal for the student and showing them that it’s okay not to understand a topic or not learn as fast as others is okay, another aspect is the experience the student feels when they understand what you are explaining to them and their facial reaction to them actually understanding it as well can just be such a happy and positive experience that can really motivate students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my strengths as a tutor will be that I’m a good listener and have good communication skills, I understand from personal experience that one personal can teach me something one way and I won’t get it but teaching it a different way may make the difference. Another strength I’ll have is from my psychology knowledge of knowing that not only does every person learn differently but also the body language, this will be useful with tutoring because students aren’t always comfortable saying they aren’t sure about answers and that can very much indicate how you teach them.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider making the experience more personal to the student can be very important, catering to their specific needs and ways of learning and definitely be the difference between them just being re-teached the content compared actually retaining it

Ella brings direct experience working with students in years 7 to 12 through her role as a student ambassador, where she has created and delivered interactive workshops for both small and large groups. Her responsibilities have included not only presenting material but also ensuring that every student is engaged and comfortable. Ella’s ability to use age-appropriate language and adapt her approach to different group dynamics means she knows how to make learning accessible and enjoyable for young people.
Leadership Skills from Coaching and Umpiring
As a NetSetGo netball umpire, Ella developed quick decision-making abilities, fairness, and clear communication—skills essential for effective tutoring. She is adept at explaining rules, maintaining focus among groups of children, and managing challenging situations calmly. This hands-on leadership background translates seamlessly into her tutoring style, ensuring sessions are structured yet supportive, helping students gain confidence in both maths and English.
Creative Interests Enhance Tutoring Approach
With personal interests spanning art, music, adventuring, and reading, Ella brings creativity into her sessions to connect academic content with real-life examples. She often draws on stories or creative exercises to make lessons more engaging, especially for students who benefit from a more imaginative approach.
