What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I like being able to explain things in a way that actually makes sense to them, especially if they’ve been struggling or feeling stuck. It feels good knowing I’ve helped someone not just improve in school, but also feel more capable overall.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my biggest strengths is patience. I never rush a student, rather I give them time to think, ask questions, and really understand the topic. I’m also good at breaking things down in a simple way. I’ve noticed that students often struggle because no one’s explained it in a way that makes sense to them, so I try different approaches until it clicks. Another strength is how I connect with students. I try to make them feel comfortable and supported, especially if they’re lacking confidence. I want them to see that mistakes are part of learning and that I’m there to help, not judge.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think one of the most important things a tutor can do is help a student build confidence. A lot of students already know more than they think they just need someone to believe in them, guide them, and show them how to approach problems step by step.

About Muktar

Personal Information

My name is Muktar. I’m currently doing my Master’s in Cybersecurity at Torrens University, and I’ve already completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science. I’ve always enjoyed helping people understand things better especially during uni, I used to explain concepts to my classmates in maths and tech subjects. That made me realise I actually enjoy teaching.

More on me :).

Recently I’ve been tutoring students around Melbourne, mainly in English and Maths, and I really like seeing the progress they make over time. I’d say I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I try to make learning feel less stressful and more motivating for students. Outside of uni and tutoring, I’m into tech stuff, I like reading, and I’m always trying to find ways to improve myself or help others grow.
