What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I think the fact that tutoring is not just teaching others, but at the same time, you get to reflect back on your learnings and IN FACT get to correct yourself at times when you revisit things. Also, the joy you get when someone understands the concepts and appreciates your efforts. The happiness is remarkable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths are my strong foundations in the above-mentioned subjects. Apart from that, I am an extrovert in general and love conveying my ideas and knowledge. So it's technically a win-win situation for me.
I love using real life analogies to explain the most complex topics. As a current postgrad student, I do understand the particular problems students might face in learning something and make sure I provide multiple approaches/examples to make sure they understand everything.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is make them realise that everything is possible as long as they work hard enough for it.
For example, I am currently in a Master of Computer Science degree at the University of Sydney. Although it's a Master's program but the cohort has people from all kinds of backgrounds, including neuroscience, finance etc, among others. After spending sometime with these people (some of them are my close friends), and being a first hand witness to their handwork, I am absolutely shocked at the progress they've made and you can never tell they're not.
