What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the impacts of tutoring. Back in high school, when I informally tutored my classmates and friends, I enjoyed it as tutoring acted as an opportunity for me to review my knowledge on the subject. If I can tutor well, it meant that I had extensive understanding on the subjects.
After high school, I see tutoring as a very meaningful job. I enjoy being able to disseminate the knowledge that my teachers gave me, not just using it for myself. Through tutoring, I hope that those who I tutor would be inspired to use their knowledge beyond the classroom.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my strengths as a tutor would be to connect theoretical concepts with real-life examples. It was a consequence of my high school curriculum but I found this skill to be very useful, including when studying with friends for university. I find it valuable for anyone to be able to relevantly relate to whatever they're studying.
Besides that, I consider my empathy to be a strength as a tutor. If I can understand whoever I am tutoring, I can tailor the tutoring to their needs. By having some empathy, I can ensure that the tutoring sticks and those who I tutor have a better experience.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be empathetic. As much as a tutor can do, they could not change how their students are. Not only does the student have to understand the material, the tutor should understand their students first.

About Aurelio
Who am I?
Hi everyone, I am a university student at the Australian National University, studying International Relations and Politics, Philosophy, Economics. While it may appear that my degree choice is unusual for what I can teach, I find that the characteristics of my high school curriculum support the degree that I take now.
What can I teach?
I studied in the IB in high school and I consider Mathematics Applications and Interpretations together with Economics to be my strongest subjects to teach. Those 2 subjects specific to that curriculum would be the main ones I can teach. That does not mean other curriculums are out of the question.

- Strong understanding of the topic at hand, knows how to apply derivatives to find not only the stationary point but also the actual minimum and maximum values - Has shown improvement when doing calculations, less likely to make mistakes now
- Needs improvement in linking multiple concepts, could be addressed by giving more questions that combine multiple concepts(e.g representing shapes through functions) - Makes occasional mistakes with substitution in working, could be addressed by practicing notation(use of brackets to represent substitution of variables)

- Makes some mistake in calculations and can still improve on linking multiple concepts, actively using the discussed learning methods should help him.

- Jessica has most of the basics mostly covered, which can go a long way for more complex and longer questions - Made clear on what Jessica aims to achieve for the HSC exam itself, with her university goals in mind as well as her other HSC subjects
- Use of all tools available during the exam, including the formula sheet and tools with the calculator. The calculator part has been addressed. - While it would be the last topic, Jessica still has topics to study, which can be quite distracting(choose to revise older topics or focus on the newer ones?) -While basic topics are mostly covered, more advanced applications, specifically across topics, could be improved
