What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What motivates me to tutor is the opportunity to help students unlock their potential. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a student go from feeling stuck to feeling confident and capable. I also tutor because I live for those ‘aha’ moments—the spark in a student’s eyes when they understand something that once seemed impossible. It is also rewarding for myself, as I have the chance to practise the mathematical knowledge that will be the foundational steps to higher education, with the student.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have good listening skills and problem-solving skills. I also have a good foundational mathematical knowledge from my secondary schooling and also University.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Listen to his doubts and clear those doubts instead of just following a said course guide that is either given by a school or made by the tutor himself.

About Rakesh Mohan

My Background

I have finished secondary schooling in 2024 and have just enrolled in University in 2025. I finished my schooling in Edgars Creek Secondary College and enrolled in Bachelor Of Science in RMIT University.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that effective tutoring goes beyond just explaining the material—it’s about empowering students to think for themselves. I focus on building a student’s confidence by creating a safe, encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs and believe in helping them become independent learners, not just passive recipients of information.
