What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing my students grow as both learners and individuals. I love seeing them able to achieve things that they never thought they would be able to - seeing students finish assignments that they thought were impossible, or achieve a mark in a maths topic they didn't even know how to do before I helped brings a genuine smile to myself. I don't just try to help with their education, but I want to help them grow their confidence - know that they can do hard things, they are more capable than they think they are.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am currently first in maths, PDHPE and Community and Family Studies in year 11 and 12 (pathways). I use my knowledge and experience from tutoring small groups of students at school to give me confidence and passion to approach new clients.
My favourite part of being a tutor is giving the student a chance to grow and watch them flourish as a learner. I aim to build students passion for learning and help them find their own confidence in exams
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Tutors must build the confidence of their students - they can't just teach them the content and expect them to be able to do it on their own - its more than that. A good tutor needs to build the childs confidence so they know they can answer a question. I can do this, I am the type of tutor that wants to support students to do their best and to feel like they can do this. Going into an exam with confidence is invaluable, a student feels happier with a positive attitude and the belief in themselves that they can succeed makes them more likely to. I want to build each students skills in the subject but also their attitude towards learning and that is really important.

I want to see your child thrive
As someone who has eperienced mental health conditions, I have needed to do self directed learning. This has made me passionate about working with people to develop their love of learning. I want to build your childs confidence and make them believe that they are capable of achieving all their school goals.
I use engaging strategies to teach
I know that working away with worksheets can be monotonous and so I try to incorporate games and other activities into my sessions so that the lessons are memorable. I find that this increases the likelihood that the student will remember the content come exam time and feel confident in their ability to succeed.
