What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
All day, every day, watching the lightbulb moments! That feeling when a student goes from “I don’t get this” to “Ohhh, that makes sense now” — that’s everything. I love seeing their confidence grow, their mindset shift, and knowing I played a part in that. Tutoring is more than just improving grades (although we do that too!) — it’s about helping students believe in their ability to figure things out.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Making complex ideas simple.
I know how overwhelming new concepts can be — so I take the time to explain things clearly, step-by-step, in a way that actually makes sense. I adapt to how each student learns best, and I’m always patient, encouraging, and focused on progress. With my background in software engineering and economics, I also bring a real-world lens to learning, helping students see why what they’re learning matters.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Build their confidence — because when students feel capable, they become unstoppable
Make learning approachable — using clear explanations, real-life examples, and the right pace
Create structure and consistency — so progress isn’t just random, it’s reliable
Be a calm, supportive presence — someone they can rely on when school feels overwhelming
I’m not just here to teach maths — I’m here to help students succeed in school and feel good doing it ?

She did very well with the finance and object problems — showing strong improvement in interpreting the question, choosing the correct formula, and presenting clear working. She’s developing great awareness of how exam questions are structured and where to look for key details.
She tends to use formulas automatically without first thinking about what each part represents. When a formula looks unfamiliar or is slightly different (for example, when the question provides a formula to use), she sometimes gets stuck after an error instead of pausing to interpret it logically and realising it doesn’t make sense. Building the habit of reading and understanding the formula before substituting values will help her handle trickier, unfamiliar problems with more confidence.

She did really well overall — handled the object questions confidently and showed strong problem-solving skills. Her understanding of formulas and how to apply them in different contexts has improved noticeably.
She still gets a little confused when working with percentages in finance problems, especially when converting between values, rates, and proportions. Continued practice with percentage-based finance questions will help her build consistency and speed.

She showed solid effort and persistence when tackling the more complex worded questions. Her understanding of how to approach multi-step problems has improved, and she’s beginning to identify key information more quickly.
She still needs more consistent practice translating worded questions into equations — particularly in finance and object problems that require her to visualise or draw.
She showed good reasoning when interpreting data trends and improved in understanding how to conclude graphs.
She showed good reasoning when interpreting data trends and improved in understanding how to conclude graphs.
She should focus on consistently including measurement units in answers and building confidence in applying trigonometric relationships in multi-step problems.
