What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
While I love to just teach students, I especially enjoy teaching them tricks and tips that I’ve learnt through my schooling. I also enjoy the challenge of finding new teaching methods because sometimes the first way isn’t always the most effective. Despite enjoying the teaching aspect of tutoring, I really enjoy it when the students are curious and ask me questions that extend beyond just what the homework requires.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that I’m reliable, patient and genuinely want to help and talk to the students. These are important strengths to have as I’ve realised staying consistent and talking to the students makes them more comfortable and you develop a connection with them so they start to ask more questions and learn more effectively.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
In my opinion one of the most important things that a tutor can do for a student is to believe in them and boost their confidence. From my previous tutoring experience, I know that the students are a lot smarter than they give themselves credit for and are just scared that they are wrong, so helping them with their confidence can go a long way in both their academic and personal lives.
