My content understanding as well as my patience allows me to explain difficult mathematical concepts in a variety of ways until a student understands. During my experience as a student teacher at At-Faisal College I was commended on my ability to adapt and differentiate my teaching to allow all 70+ of my year 9 students to understand difficult NAPLAN questions and finance maths concepts. I am also receptive to what works for a student and what doesn't and can utilise this skill to improve the efficiency of the tutoring experience.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I am passionate about mathematics and believe that the most important thing for student motivation and academic achievement, is to enjoy maths. In my opinion, enjoying maths comes from being able to engage with the content with confidence which is something that I, as a tutor can facilitate.
