What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Even in primary school, I have always enjoyed helping my classmates, especially in Maths as I would often be ahead of the class. I always enjoyed being able to explain my understanding to other people as I felt like I could also walk through my methods of thinking whenever I learnt something new. I found that often times, the way I learnt a concept would be slightly different to how the teacher had originally explained it, and being able to explain this to my classmates also helped deepen their understanding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strengths as a tutor would be explaining different concepts to students one on one, as I find this is the best way to identify specific areas of struggle and be able to cater my teaching to their needs.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is being able to identify what methods of teacher works for the student, whether that be through diagrams or through explanations. Furthermore, I believe that tutors should be able to set up their students for the future and help their students become self-sufficient and capable learners who can achieve their goals independently.
