What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student's confidence grow as they master a topic they once found difficult. It's incredibly satisfying to know that with a bit of extra practice, any student can turn their frustration on a particular subject to a genuine interest. Many come to tutoring with goals of getting into a certain university program, or go to a more challenging class, or achieving a target grade. Helping them reach these goals is a rewarding process and watching their hard work pay off makes every tutoring session worthwhile.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength as a tutor lies in my belief that all students are capable of great things with the right support. I focus on building their confidence by working through a range of problem sets until they have mastered the content. Once they are comfortable, I guide them to move on to new topics. I also like to use techniques such as spaced repitition which allows them to solidify concepts to their long term memory.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe instilling the confidence to tackle new problems is a trait that is rewarding for a student inside and out of academia. Students often lose the confidence in themselves when encountering a problem that they don't know how to solve. It is important for a student to realise that this is a normal process in learning and that with practice, they can solve any problem with ease.
