What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love the feeling of accomplishment that I feel when a student finally understands and applies a new concept - it makes it all worth it!

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

Explaining new concepts and skills, as well as consistently revising those skills so it isn't forgotten.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Being down to earth and always there for your students - it's really easy to lose motivation or confidence in maths, and I believe that students who KNOW they're capable are far more willing to embrace new concepts and put in effort to understanding it.

About Adil

Passion for Problem Solving

My love for maths began through programming - writing code taught me to think step-by-step, recognise patterns, and approach problems logically. These are the same skills that make maths both challenging and rewarding. Over time, I grew to appreciate maths as more than just numbers - it’s a language for understanding how the world works. Now, I aim to share that passion with students by breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps.

Experienced in Teaching and Leadership

I currently tutor at a learning centre in Bella Vista, where I teach maths to students across a wide range of year levels and abilities. This role has strengthened my ability to break down difficult concepts, pinpoint gaps in understanding, and tailor explanations to each student’s learning style - whether that means revisiting fundamentals or extending them with advanced questions. Concurrently, I teach at Code Camp, where I introduce younger students to coding and logical thinking through fun, hands-on activities. It was there that I first developed a love for teaching - explaining abstract ideas clearly, keeping students engaged, and encouraging curiosity. Together, these experiences have shaped my calm, adaptable, and results-focused approach to tutoring.

My Approach to Tutoring

I believe every student can succeed in maths with the right guidance and mindset. My tutoring style focuses on building strong foundations, fostering independent thinking, and creating a safe space to make mistakes and learn from them. Whether a student is aiming to catch up or get ahead, I work with them to build confidence, sharpen problem-solving skills, and develop a genuine understanding of the subject - not just memorisation.
