My love for maths began through programming - writing code taught me to think step-by-step, recognise patterns, and approach problems logically. These are the same skills that make maths both challenging and rewarding. Over time, I grew to appreciate maths as more than just numbers - itβs a language for understanding how the world works. Now, I aim to share that passion with students by breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps.
I currently tutor at a learning centre in Bella Vista, where I teach maths to students across a wide range of year levels and abilities. This role has strengthened my ability to break down difficult concepts, pinpoint gaps in understanding, and tailor explanations to each studentβs learning style - whether that means revisiting fundamentals or extending them with advanced questions. Concurrently, I teach at Code Camp, where I introduce younger students to coding and logical thinking through fun, hands-on activities. It was there that I first developed a love for teaching - explaining abstract ideas clearly, keeping students engaged, and encouraging curiosity. Together, these experiences have shaped my calm, adaptable, and results-focused approach to tutoring.
I believe every student can succeed in maths with the right guidance and mindset. My tutoring style focuses on building strong foundations, fostering independent thinking, and creating a safe space to make mistakes and learn from them. Whether a student is aiming to catch up or get ahead, I work with them to build confidence, sharpen problem-solving skills, and develop a genuine understanding of the subject - not just memorisation.
