In my experiences tutoring a year 10 math student, I felt my ability to be nimble enough to recognize when a particular explanation of a topic was not working and to adapt to an approach that worked well is a clear strength. I also feel it is important to have empathy as a tutor - I drew parallels to the challenges I faced as a student, and this built trust and willingness to work with me. I provide this response in the backdrop that this student that I was working with was experiencing challenges at home and from there stemmed some behavioural issues.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
When I went to school, I recall that a lot of the subjects that I took particular interest in were due to the quality of instruction from the teacher.
