What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to share my knowledge and skills while helping students achieve their goals. When I tutored Year 2 students in drawing and painting for an art competition, I found it really rewarding to see their progress. Some made it to the final round, and I was so proud of them. The most meaningful part was watching their growth, from where they started to how much they improved by the end. I enjoy being part of that journey, and seeing their confidence build.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Patience, adaptability, and encouragement are my strengths. Working with children and adults requires patience because each one of them has a different way of learning and processing new information. This is where adaptability becomes important. I made sure to adapt my communication style to suit each student. Lastly, encouragement. For example, with children who have shorter attention spans or get distracted easily, I make sure to motivate them and guide them to stay engaged and complete their tasks to the best of their ability.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to be present, supportive, and adaptable. A tutor should be prepared to answer questions. If they have a specific question, a tutor would sit down and guide them through the problems and how to solve them. Also, it's important to adapt teaching and communication styles to best suit each student to help them learn well and successfully. A tutor must also create a welcoming and comfortable environment so students are not afraid to participate and ask questions.
