What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Growing up with 3 siblings, I was quite proficient in mathematics and physics. Naturally, I would teach them and help them in doing their homework. I feel that tutoring reminds me of the days when I'd help my siblings and their friends with homework, whenever they would come over. It gives me a sense of accomplishment as well as a tinge of nostalgia to help students in need :)
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I feel that with my experience being a private tutor in highschool, I know how to approach topics in a manner that helps the student the most. For example, some might find working solutions better, whilst others may require more "hand-holding" practicals. I feel that with my knowledge of the topic and experience in teaching said topics before, I can actively help students more.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is communication. Whether it be replying quickly, communicating with students directly and efficiently, or knowing how to approach a topic in the best way for a student to learn, effective communication is a must for tutors. This also means they must be adaptable to different teaching styles for different students, as well as punctual. Being patient is another important aspect. Tutors must understand that students are trying their hardest, and it is the tutor's responsibility to teach them effectively. Lastly, but most importantly, they must be kind :)
