What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I really enjoy making math feel less intimidating and more natural. I like using visual aids, real-life examples, and breaking concepts down into plain English until they feel painfully obvious. Watching a student go from “this makes no sense†to “oh, that’s actually really simple†is what I love most.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am good at explaining abstract concepts in a way that feels intuitive and obvious, not just formal. I use visuals, analogies, and everyday examples so students can actually see what’s happening. I’m patient and encouraging—I make sure students feel comfortable asking even the most “basic†questions. With my strong math background, I can connect both the big picture and the small details for them. I make weird, even nonsensical examples that stand out in students' minds long after the tutoring session is over.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

For me, the most important thing is helping students actually enjoy math and feel comfortable with the process of not knowing right away. A lot of math is about sitting with that discomfort, resisting the urge to panic, and trusting that if you think logically, you’ll find a way through—even if it’s not the “textbook†method. I want students to see that it’s okay not to know the answer instantly, as long as they keep working at the problem and are willing to find a workaround. Ultimately, I think a good tutor helps students build confidence—not just in solving a particular type of question, b
