What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing when a concept or idea finally clicks for a student, especially when they have been working on it for a long time as it shows that their hard work has paid off and encourages them to go further. I also enjoy breaking down concepts into understandable ways in different ways depending on the student as it also prompts me to problem solve and find out the best way to support individual students, helping make learning less of a chore and more enjoyable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think one of my strengths as a tutor is my ability to break down concepts into multiple mini sub concepts so that students are able to fully grasp a topic step by step in order to ensure they understand the process to getting the answer that they get and they have a holistic understanding of the topic. Another of my strengths is my ability to form connections with my students by finding ways to relate to them, allowing teaching to be less boring and more engaging for them, creating a more positive and engaging learning environment.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is making sure that the student is confident and comfortable not only in learning the content being taught, but applying it, while not fearing being wrong. A tutor must be able to listen and communicate clearly to create a safe environment where the student feels free to make mistakes in order to grow, helping to equip students with key skills and strategies that they can apply in future studies and endeavours.
