What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing that moment when a student finally understands a concept they’ve been struggling with and starts developing interest in it. Helping students go from feeling stuck to feeling proud of their progress is very rewarding for me. I also love getting to know each student’s unique personality and learning style and adapting my lessons to suit them, so they feel supported and engaged.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My biggest strengths is that I love to break complex concepts down into simple steps and use examples from real life that connect to students’ interests, which makes learning much more relatable and fun. I’m also good at building a positive relationship with my students so they feel comfortable asking questions that they might otherwise think are silly and making mistakes.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is create a space where the student feels completely comfortable being themselves. They should be able to openly say what they do and don’t understand without fear of judgment. This honesty is what allows us to help them in the best way possible. Beyond that, a tutor should always aim to build the student’s confidence by teaching them strategies they can use independently, and of course make learning engaging so they stay motivated and develop a positive attitude towards their studies.

It would be great if she could try to visualise the different types of graphs to help her find the domain and ranges and just general practice overall would be good.
