What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being able to show students the beauty of maths and help encourage their love for. Being able to cultivate an understanding for challenging concepts and seeing students grow and develop their fundamental skills and watch them apply it to problems once thought difficult. I also love building confidence and providing learning support to students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As an electrical engineering student, I have a higher understanding of applied mathematics and can explain topics incredibly well, as I have done with colleagues of mine. Bringing complex topics down to an understanding level and communicating the steps to completion.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Communicate the fundamentals of the problem at hand and provide insight into what is being solved. In maths especially understanding the question and helping the student to find that understanding is always the first move to make with a student. If they don't understand what's being asked then they won't be able to find the right answer and that’s where I come in. It'll be the tutors responsibility to help breakdown anything confusing for them and help reach that level where they are capable of understanding questions on a complex level.

About Eamon
University student at QUT
I’m currently in my 1st year of uni studying a Bachelors in Engineering (Honours) with a major in Electrical Engineering. I privately tutor friends and colleagues and help improve assignments unrelated and related to my degree, because of this I’m very good at improving marks for students even in fields I’m unfamiliar in.
Experience and Success
I have experience in private tutoring for students from grade 7 all the way through to grade 12. Mainly in maths and physics, but am still confident in tutoring for chemistry and junior science classes. I also have experience tutoring more advanced uni level units for anyone’s interest. Adept and confident in own math skills and relaying information already known to other people. Very proficient with team and success building exercises as i have experience in being captain in rugby league for most of high school.
Real-World Skills
I have participated in group projects in relation to my degree and have been noted as being a terrific team member who’s always ready to get the job done. Any student I can assure would get the care and support necessary.

Struggles with larger decimals and fractions. Work on applications. More work with larger multiplications and division with numbers other than 10, 100, 1000 etc.
