What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing the moment when a student gains confidence in something they once found difficult. Guiding them through challenges and watching their progress gives me a sense of achievement. I enjoy tailoring my approach to each learner and creating an environment where they feel supported and motivated
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Communication: I can break down complex ideas into easy-to-understand steps. For example, when teaching Chemistry at Deakin, I tailored lessons for both advanced and beginner students, ensuring everyone kept up.
Engagement: I use interactive methods to keep students interested, leading to better participation and results.
Patience: I stay calm and encouraging, even when a student struggles, which helps build their confidence.
Organisation: I prepare lessons in advance and provide clear guidance, so students always know what to expect.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Understand the student’s needs: Every student learns differently, so it’s important to identify their strengths and challenges.
Simplify and clarify: Break down complex ideas into manageable steps so the student feels capable.
Encourage and motivate: Confidence is often the key barrier—helping students believe in themselves leads to better results.
Foster independence: The ultimate goal is for the student to develop skills to learn and solve problems on their own.
