What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
For me, I truly believe it is a genuinely rewarding experience to guide a student to become successful. But, I find it equally as important to form strong relationships, so, it is personally satisfying to know that my students can count on me and trust my support in their learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Honestly, my biggest strengths would be my amicability and communication skills. I truly believe that my character and experience I have already gained from working with children & students in my past jobs as a tutor and a football coach have enabled me with the patience and empathy required to support and motivate students. Another strength would be my genuine investment in my students' learning. I am dedicated and resilient, thus, I will take as much time necessary to ensure my students are achieving both academic and personal goals.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that tutors and teachers alike are not endless sources of book knowledge but rather a librarian who must guide students to discover, interpret and apply knowledge for themselves. Thus, it is crucial that a tutor forms a strong relationship with its students to create an environment where student learning is maximised. Further, in creating a positive environment, a successful tutor will also serve as a mentor and role model for its students. Finally, it is imperative that tutors ensure they are proficient in their teaching and knowledge surrounding student curriculums.

About Aidan
Who am I?
Hi! My name is Aidan. I am a recent graduate of Normanhurst Boys High School in 2025. My dream career is to become a clinical psychologist working with children and young adults, and intend to begin a Bachelors of Psychology degree in 2026. My favourite hobbies are playing sports (specifically soccer), bingeing anime and hanging out with my friends and family.
Why me?
As a now graduate of a highly competitive selective school, I have a significant understanding of and ability to teach HSC-level content. This has been demonstrated through my various work experiences as previously:
- Casual Junior High School Tutor at Xseed Academy (2024-2025)
- Football Coach at Justfootball Academy (2023-2024)
Thus, my experiences and successes working with students and children alike within both academic and sporting environments has enabled me to confidently teach challenging material whilst ensureing I can tailor lessons to individual learning needs. I am deeply committed to academic excellence and mentorship, and I strive to help every student build confidence, develop curiosity, and reach their full potential in a supportive and motivating environment.

- Strong numeracy skills (especially addition, subtraction and short multiplication) - Comprehends texts fairly well - Quick learner and asks relevant questions when he needs help - Open to feedback and overall a nice student to teach
- Spelling more difficult words (e.g. compound words such as "passage") needs some work - Limited knowledge about different "word classes" (nouns, verbs, adverbs, etc.) - Not yet confident in short/long division and could be improved by practising all his time tables - Losing focus/harder to concentrate towards the end of the lesson
