What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I like being able to make things less overwhelming for students. Tutoring my two younger brothers and working as an online SAT tutor made me realise that a lot of the time, students just need someone who can explain things in a way that actually makes sense to them. Seeing that moment when students become more confident and interested in lessons feels genuinely rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
Iโm patient, clear in the way I explain things, and good at breaking down ideas into steps that are easier to follow. I pay attention to what a student is actually struggling with and adjust my approach so it suits how they learn. I also make sure students feel comfortable speaking up when theyโre confused, which I think makes a big difference in how quickly they improve.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
A tutor should help students build real understanding, not just memorise steps. I think itโs important to support their confidence, show them practical ways to approach problems, and help them become more independent learners. From my experience, a bit of encouragement and clear, straightforward guidance goes a long way in helping students feel more capable.
