What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping students recognise their own potential and watching their confidence grow as concepts begin to click, especially in conceptual subjects such as methods Seeing someone go from confusion to understanding is incredibly rewarding and is what motivates me most.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor include breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and adapting my approach to each student’s learning style. I’m patient, communicative and focused on building confidence, not just skills. I have never been incredibly talented at academics, so I had to curate an extremely methodical and synthesised approach, in which I will make for my students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do are build a student’s confidence, create a safe space for questions, and teach in a way that suits their learning style. I know how competitive and burdensome academics can be, especially for students in high achieving environments ( e.g Melbourne high), so I believe being a pillar of understanding and independence is also very important

About Jaden
High-achieving student with strong Maths and English foundations
Jaden is a high-performing student at a selective high school, studying advanced subjects including General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, English, Chemistry, Business Management and Legal Studies. Being in the top entry group for his school means he understands challenging content first-hand and can explain it clearly to others. This tutor is especially well placed to help primary and high school students build strong skills in maths, reading, writing and exam-style problem solving.
Proven youth coach and mentor who knows how to motivate teens
As a head coach for a junior basketball team, Jaden has individually coached older high school students, guiding them to a playoffs victory. He regularly checks in on students’ wellbeing, keeps them engaged and turns goals into practical training steps. This experience transfers directly to tutoring: he breaks down complex ideas into simple drills, sets achievable targets, and keeps students accountable in a friendly, motivating way.
Confident leader who creates structured, engaging learning
Jaden has led large student groups as a senior cadet and age group leader, planning activities, coordinating events and communicating with parents and staff. He is organised, reliable and comfortable managing different personalities. In tutoring, he uses these skills to structure sessions, prepare tailored practice tasks and keep parents informed. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, this tutor can support bilingual families and help students build confidence in both language and numeracy.
