What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy watching students grow in confidence as they begin to understand ideas that once seemed difficult. Tutoring gives me the chance to personalise learning and explain concepts in ways that make sense to each student. I find it most rewarding when students start to apply what they have learned independently and feel proud of their own progress.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My main strengths are patience, clear communication and a solid understanding of Mathematics and Accounting. My academic background in Financial Mathematics and Accounting, together with my professional experience, helps me develop the skills to explain abstract ideas in a practical and simple way. During my teaching placement, I developed strong skills in building supportive classroom environments, using formative assessment and adapting teaching strategies to meet different learning needs.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to help students build confidence in their own ability to learn. Tutoring isn’t just about explaining the content. It’s more about creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. A good tutor listens carefully, understands what the student needs, and guides them to find their own solutions. I also believe encouragement and patience are important because when students feel supported, they become more motivated and independent in their learning.
