What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is the reward of helping students grow in confidence and seeing their understanding improve over time. I have always loved school and learning, especially maths, and I genuinely enjoy sharing that passion with others. There is something incredibly meaningful about helping a student go from feeling unsure or stressed about a topic to feeling capable and even enjoying the subject. Watching that shift happen, and knowing I played a part in making their academic journey easier, is what motivates me and makes tutoring such a fulfilling role for me.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My biggest strengths as a tutor come from my extensive experience tutoring and coaching young people. These experiences have taught me how to read students’ moods, understand their individual learning styles, and adjust my teaching approach to suit them. I am very approachable, patient, and encouraging, which helps students feel comfortable asking questions and being honest when they don’t understand something. I am also flexible and open to trying different methods until I find the one that works for them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is help a student build confidence and reduce their stress around a subject. Explaining the material matters, but the real impact comes from helping students believe they can understand and succeed. I’ve had students tell me they no longer panic when they don’t understand something in class because they know we’ll work through it together. Creating that sense of support, trust, and calm is essential, and it’s always my main focus as a tutor.
