What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

Being able to help students who want to get ahead of their school curriculum or students that are seeking additional help with content they don't understand.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

My strengths would include my time management and organisational skills, as it would definitely help if I'm organising and correcting work for multiple students at a time. Another strength would be my aspirations to become a teacher and I feel that becoming a tutor would provide great experience for my future career.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

The most important things a tutor can do for a student to me would be being able to provide extra 1 on 1 time with a student that they might not be able to have in a school setting. By having 1 on 1 time with a student, it is easier to teach them and make them understand the content. Also being able to be contacted by the student outside school hours for help. Sometimes teachers don't respond to emails outside school hours and as a former student, it would sometimes be frustrating if I needed help with a certain question etc.

About Kevin

Future Maths Teacher with Strong Academic Background

Kevin is a university student training to become a secondary maths teacher, currently studying a combined Education and Arts (Mathematics) degree. He completed advanced subjects including Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods and English in his final years of school, giving him a solid grasp of the content your child is learning now and will face later. This tutor understands how school assessments work and can help students break down tricky maths problems into clear, manageable steps while keeping explanations simple and relatable.

Patient Communicator Who Connects with Students

With experience speaking both English and Vietnamese, Kevin is able to explain ideas in different ways to suit each learner. He has built strong communication skills by training new team members in fast-paced environments, where clear, calm instructions are essential. This tutor brings that same patience and clarity to tutoring sessions, guiding students through worked examples, checking understanding frequently and encouraging them to ask questions without feeling judged.

Organised, Reliable and Engaging Learning Style

Kevinโ€™s time management and organisational skills come from balancing university study with regular work, so he knows how to plan lessons that stay on track and make good use of every minute. He enjoys problem solving and often turns maths questions into step-by-step challenges or โ€œmini puzzlesโ€ to keep students engaged. Outside of study, he likes gaming and bouldering, and he uses these interests to relate abstract ideas to real-life situations, helping students see maths as something practical and even fun.
