What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The part I enjoy most is being able to have a noticeable impact on a student, especially in the moment when something clicks.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My main strengths are patience and an ability to explain concepts in multiple different ways, especially with an example a student may be more familiar with once I know them better. Obviously my knowledge of the content is another strength, with high scores across Maths Methods, Specialist Maths and English in VCE.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing is support and feedback. When a student has clear feedback they know what and how to improve. When they have not been given feedback, they will not know how to improve in a subject. Giving that feedback and support in actioning it is the most important thing a tutor can do.

About Aidan

Confident Communicator with Strong English and Maths Foundations

Aidan is a high-achieving senior high school student with a solid grounding in both English and advanced Mathematics, including Methods and Specialist Maths. This tutor is comfortable explaining complex ideas in simple, clear language and enjoys helping classmates work through tricky problems step by step. His experience studying Psychology also helps him understand how different students think and learn, allowing him to adjust explanations so that concepts in Maths and English really “click” for younger learners.

Creative, Engaging Approach to Learning

With years of involvement in school productions and choir, Aidan brings energy, confidence, and creativity into his tutoring sessions. He is used to speaking in front of groups, projecting his voice clearly, and keeping an audience engaged—skills that translate directly into keeping students focused and interested. His background in Drama helps him turn examples into stories, use role-play for English skills, and build students’ confidence in reading aloud, presenting, and class participation.

Patient Mentor Who Connects with Students’ Interests

Aidan’s experience in a Dungeons & Dragons club shows his knack for strategic thinking, problem-solving, and working as part of a team—qualities he uses to make learning feel like a collaborative challenge rather than a chore. His participation in an overseas language exchange reflects maturity, independence, and strong communication skills. This tutor is patient, approachable, and happy to tailor explanations and practice questions to a student’s hobbies and interests, helping them build both skills and self-belief in Maths and English.
