What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I've worked with many students, including those struggling with both the subject and a language barrier, and I know how frustrating it can be for them. The best part of tutoring for me is being able to find the right analogy or a different way to explain it. Maybe a real-world example from my own lab work at the AIBN, and then seeing that look of relief and confidence on their face when it all falls into place. It's also personal. I remember being 15 and getting bad advice that made me doubt my passion for biology. I really enjoy being the person who can now help students build their own coMy Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My greatest strength is that I combine practical, real-world context with approachable communication. I don't just teach theory, I make sure to use examples from my current lab work and experiences to make ideas click. I think the most important things are to build confidence and make the subject relevant. This goes beyond just explaining problems.
