What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy the rewarding aspect of seeing a student gradually improve through our combined efforts, and will strive to achieve this.
In addition, I genuinely enjoy problem solving in all areas of life. When the problem of a student's studies is combined with my favourite subjects, I have extra motivation to find a solution and aid my students, no matter the effort needed.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have strength in my experience as a tutor, both structured and sporadic, with participation in over 140+ hours of the Peer Tutoring program at Crestwood High (personalised academic support for underachieving Year 7 students), in addition to continuous aid for students in my own grade during the HSC period (I have created and been part of various subject-specific support groups)
I also believe I would make a strong tutor due to my comprehensive understanding and interest in math, physics and chemistry, aiding me to properly answer and assist students with any problems we may encounter.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Students may seek tuition for one of two main reasons:
- They feel they are underperforming, and so want their tutors to help them relearn the basics to bring their performance up to their desired baseline
- They want to excel in the subject beyond simply passable marks, and so want to prepare for the hardest possible questions and secure the highest marks possible
I believe that as a tutor, the most important thing to do is tailor the lessons to the students, as often parents book the lessons. As such, I will do my best to learn the priorities of each student and tutor accordingly.
